      I’d not heard of your recipe cards before but will definitely check them out…the amazing local shops along Essex Road are places we’ve been wanting to try for a while now but apart from Market Garden, we’ve not managed it yet so I’m really excited to get some ideas about what to go in and ask for – awesome idea of yours!



  2. Hi Alexandra, I just stumbled across your blog after looking for reviews on Le Cordon Bleu technique essentials course. It sounds like you had a really, really great time, would you recommend it above any other essential/foundation courses you’ve tried? I’m thinking of signing up to start in February, Lottie x

      Thanks so much for getting in touch! I would 100% recommend this course – I had the best time doing it and learned so much. I did quite a few courses at Le Cordon Bleu & Leiths last year and definitely preferred the style & content of LCB. This course in particular covered so many things I’d never done before, the chef leading it was brilliant and both he and his helpers (all LCB students) were wet welcoming & helpful…I never felt like an idiot, not even when I couldn’t get the damn chicken wings off!

      You’ll come away each week with a LOT of food so prepare for housemates or your fridge to love you and I just found it gave me a good foundation from which to think about what I wanted to look at next. If you have the interest, the time & the money, you must do it.

  3. Gosh, thank you so much for such a helpful response – it was just the nudge I needed to bite the bullet and sign up. I’m enrolled for 4 weeks from the end of Feb and can’t wait to start!
