I love cooking. I love J. Ergo, cooking with J? Well if I had a tail, it would spin with happiness whizzing me up off the ground in the style of some wily Warner Brothers cartoon character. I love it.
I love that he’s open to trying new things. I love that he doesn’t question some of my less mainstream suggestions. And I love that he gets how I love it. This little dinner is definitely going on the ‘make me again’ list because I have a serious thing for good burgers. Really, who doesn’t?
I could never be a vegetarian but I will quite often pick the veggie option when eating out because it just sounds so much more exciting than chicken or steak again and I will go days sometimes without meat on my plate. Regularly a meat free meal will make my heart leap for joy and my taste buds dance not because it does or doesn’t have something, but just because the flavours and textures work so well together.
So back to my point…burgers! THIS is a freaking delicious veggie burger. Not dry. Not scary looking. Not bland. This beauty is full of flavour from the sweet potatoes and BBQ seasoning. Full of texture from the peanut and beans. Full of complimentary tastes with the creamy avo and juicy tomatoes. It works. Plain and simple. It might not be your average juicily dripping meat burger but if you open your mind to a burger with a difference, this will not disappoint.
