Birthday tap dancing at ‘Top Hat’ and tapas at Pix-Bar, Soho…

Tap dancing, ravishing frocks and timeless music followed by divine finger food and red wine in an tiny, intimate, candle lit tapas bar make for a very gorgeous birthday celebration in my mind…yep, J takes birthday celebrations to a whole new level.

Pix Bar in Soho has locations in Notting Hill, Soho, Covent Garden and Islington and although I can only comment on the Soho spot, I’d bet good money each one is as alluring and charming and lovely a find as anywhere you could imagine.

Combining the choice and ease of a smorgasbord with the quality of table service food, Pix invites you to help yourself to a multitude of savoury and sweet dishes laid out across their bar. Keep the skewer in each dish that represents the price and pay at the end. Simple. Different. Winning.

Tortilla. Croquetas. Meatballs. Fritters. Chorizo. Done. Done. Done. Done. Done. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum.

If you’re looking for a different way of dining Spanish style, I urge you to give Pix a try…it’s the kind of place you won’t be able to wait another 365 days to go back to.

  1. What a cute idea! This reminds me of Cape Union Mart in South Africa, where the food comes on a revolving surface (like a baggage claim!) and the different coloured dishes mean different prices. Especially love it as there’s not bound to be as many sneaky shellfish tempting me – more tortillas, chorizo, mini soft tacos etc…..excuse what just fell on my desk, it was a bit of dribble….xxx

    1. I’ve not done Cape Union Mart – is it good? Their method sounds like a lot of sushi places…isn’t that how they get you and before you know it, the bill is astronomical?! This place is really cute and small and not too fancy…just perfect. As is anything with chorizo…xox
